I've been fortunate to have been exploring and travelling most of my life. You're invited to explore some of my favourite places for a short break or holiday in Australia and overseas...and most of them are perfect for a family vacation.

Castaway Island is designed with families in mind. From the traditional-style bures with a sliding privacy divider between the bedrooms, to the kids club and the range of activities on offer. Walk into the crystal clear ocean and see small reef fish in the shallows, plus you can snorkel straight off the beach. This isn't a destination for the budget conscious nor is it an exclusive luxury resort. It's for families who want to enjoy some luxury with all the conveniences of a family resort. Book early as it's a very popular holiday destination for families.
The best bits: the food, pools, beach, snorkelling, bures, kids club and cocktails. Most things really!
The so so bits: the cost and there's limited free wifi (though that could be a best bit for some).
